Claire Murray Return Policy

We understand concerns you may have regarding online purchases as the images and colors shown may vary on different computers.

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your rug, you may return it within 10 days of receipt for an exchange or refund. Upon receipt of your return (with prior approval), we will refund you the price of your purchase in the same manner as it was paid for, either credit card or check (not including the cost of the initial shipping).

Any merchandise returned after the 10-day grace period will be subject to review. Will not be responsible for errors in price postings or order errors. All orders are subject to review.

Items purchased on sale or at a reduced price are eligible for exchange only

Returned merchandise will not be accepted without prior approval.

All rugs must be returned in original packaging and must be accompanied by a “Return Merchandise Authorization.”

(1) You must contact us via telephone for authorization before returning any merchandise.

(2) Shipping costs for the returning of products are the responsibility of the customer.

(3) We cannot accept returns on rugs that have been damaged or soiled or kits that have been opened.

(4) PLEASE NOTE: “Sale” Items are non-refundable, non-returnable.

Special shipping offers may be extended from time to time on the Claire Murray Website. These offers are extended to orders shipped within the continental United States only and do not apply to AK, HI or countries outside the United States.

Your Claire Murray rug is a handmade work of art. Each one is unique, one-of-a-kind, designed by Claire Murray and made my many talented crafts-people. They are sought after by collectors all over the world. Although we try to anticipate what future orders will come and have them made in advance, sometimes there is a wait list for our rugs. The wait list is managed and filled in the order in which requests (orders) come to us.

The process of ordering handmade artwork is quite different than something that is manufactured. In working with people as opposed to production lines, it is not always easy to predict exactly when your rug will be ready for you. Often it is available to ship immediately and this is what we strive for. As you can imagine, the art of prediction is one that cannot be perfect. We do our best and are always happy to answer your questions. Questions should be directed to a service representative at 1-800-252-4733

When your order is placed on the Internet, funds from your credit card are reserved, in the same way as when you reserve a hotel room. As soon as your shipment is near, payment is captured and your name is associated with that rug before it even arrives here. In this way the wait list distribution is handled as it should be guaranteeing that your rug comes to you.
