How do I clean my Claire Murray wool rug?

Your rug will last a lifetime with proper care and cleaning. We recommend a water-extraction, or "steam cleaning" method.  DO NOT DRY CLEAN.  For spot cleaning, you can use any commercial non-foaming rug cleaner such as Resolve, or Woolite Oxy spot and stain remover.  Spray on and pat with a damp towel.  Do not scrub.  For cleaning larger or room-size rugs, use a steam cleaner (not a carpet shampooer) using a low suds product made for the steam cleaner.

How do I clean my Claire Murray washable rug?
We recommend cold-water wash in your machine on gentle cycle.  Spin dry as you would delecates.  Put in the dryer on lowest heat setting for 15-20 minutes until damp dry.  Air dry to finish.

Can Claire Murray rugs be repaired?
Yes - with certain exceptions.  You can call the customer service number at 508-375-0331, or 800-252-4733 to speak with a sales associate.  If possible, please take a picture of the damaged area that you can email to us for an estimate.  Often times, our rug-repair department can re-hook the rug or make repairs needed.  We reserve the right to evaluate the damaged area first before we estimate cost and time.  You are responsible for shipping the rug to our repair department and the cost of shipping the rug back to you.

Can you make custom-size rugs?  
Yes!  But only if it is derived from a current Claire Murray design, and we only do custom-sized rugs larger than 5 x 7, or runners longer than 10'.   Please note that custom-sized rugs require a 25% non-refundable deposit and may take 12-16 weeks to produce. 

Shipping and Returns:

Normal shipping time for in-stock rugs is 5 -7 business days.  We do our best to ship your purchase within a timely manner, however, for quality control purposes, it may take longer while we inspect your rug and make sure it is first quality.

Returned merchandise will not be accepted without prior approval. There is a 5% re-stocking fee for returned merchandise based on the full retail original price.  Upon receipt of your return, we will refund you the price of your purchase, minus the re-stocking fee and shipping cost in the same manner as it was paid for.  Items purchased on the outlet are eligible for exchange or store credit only.  All rugs must be returned in the original packaging and must be accompanied by your name, phone number and order #.   Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
