Maintenance: In all fine floor coverings you new Claire Murray rug deserves care and attention. Proper care is crucial for longevity, and to extend the life of your Claire Murray rug:
Vacuum Regularly: Gentle vacuuming prevents dirt from embedding in the fibers, which can cause wear. Use the suction-only setting (avoid a spinning beater bar).
Treat Spills Immediately: Address spills and stains as soon as possible to prevent permanent damage, surface clean only, air dry. Do not saturate. Do not Dry Clean.
Rotate the Rug: Turning the rug 180 degrees every six months helps ensure even wear.
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Position the rug away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
Clean Professionally: Professional cleaning every two to five years can restore its appearance and prolong its life – do not dry clean.
Note: Should long ends of yarn appear on the surface, DO NOT pull out. Trim evenly with rug surface using scissors. If you are unsure, please email or call our store.
